Be Present and at Peace

Gaia’s creative workshop was a big hit at A Mindful Society 2019. The breakout room was standing room only as participants had their minds and hearts opened to the potential application of mindfulness to creativity. At our event, sessions tend to include a lot of talking, movement, and meditation, so everyone was pleasantly surprised and noticeably excited to be present with each other creating art for an hour.

There was a wonderful emphasis on including everyone and making sure those who don’t identify as artists were able to reconnect with their inner children, drawing and exploring in a way they haven’t for decades. After the session, the room was buzzing as people continued to share about their own powerful personal experiences under Gaia’s gentle, confident facilitation. Looking forward to the next event!

How is your team’s general state of well-being?

Is your team under constant stress?

Is multi-tasking with a scattered mind a common behaviour?

Does overload create disengagement and/or aggravation?

Do you notice that distracted, busy, and/or anxious minds limit or hinder creative thinking?

 Coaching Objectives

Bring your team into a relaxed state of mental clarity and calm.

Train to improve one’s ability to focus and reduce natural tendencies to be distracted.

Increase awareness of emotions, enhance the ability to control moods, and develop patience when under pressure.

Long-term Benefits

Lessens general stress immediately, and as needed, moment-by-moment.

Effective communication takes place between team members.

Improves overall team performance.

Harvard Business Review stated that mindfulness should no longer be considered a “nice-to-have” for executives. It’s a “must-have”: a way to keep our brains healthy, to support self-regulation and effective decision-making capabilities and to protect ourselves from toxic stress.
